Morning at Aulanko Cottage Village started with early breakfast. After many spoonfuls of delicious puuro (porridge) and cup of the Finnish coffee we took a two floor private bus to Helsinki. The bus stopped at Mannerheimintie in Helsinki where our guide and the rest of Vallia's 1st year students joined us.
Our guide, Maija S. had both fatcs and nice stories about the Finnish lifestyle and also about many attractions in Helsinki. During 2,5 hours sightseeing we saw for example the statue of the most famous Finnish runner Paavo Nurmi, originally from Turku, Maija told us.

We visited also "White Church", Senate Square, Market Hall, Parlament House, Sibelius Monument and Havis Amanda Statue.
The Tour ended at our school where we had lunch at school's restaurant. Coordinator of International Affairs, Mr Markku Karhula, kept a short welcome speech and after that we enjoyed meal.
After the meal our students quided the guests through Vallila's different facilities such as Cafetria, Main Aula, Gym Hall and Land Surveyors class rooms. There we divided into smaller groups for the Optional program in Helsinki. Possible selections were made from these : Linnanmäki Amusement Park, Helsinki Zoo in Korkeasaari, Ateneum / Kiasma / Natural Science Museums and Shopping Centers. Zoo was quite popular even though it was a rather cold day and some animals were inside their cabins.
Sharply at 19.00 the bus left from Helsinki to Hämeenlinna and Aulanko Village.
